Dr. Gendi is now owner of Severn River Animal Hospital. My son’s friend’s mom told us about him a year ago when we were wanting to adopt a dog, and when he moved to Severn River we followed his practice. The price is reasonable there and the care is excellent!
He always listens to my (many) concerns about my dog (I’m a first time dog-mom) and is always polite and welcoming even when my little kids tag along and want to talk his ears off. We have some separation/noise-anxiety issues with my dog, and Dr. Gendi was very helpful in finding an Rx that suits my dog and doesn’t change his personality. He even took time to look up a medication I was ordering online through what may have been an Asian webcompany to make sure the medicine was the real deal.
BTW, I’ve called a lot of veterinary clinics and this is the only one that I remember being SO NICE to schedule with, not impatient like everywhere else. I think the receptionist’s name was Beth. I even had to call her back to ask for directions when my GPS messed up and she didn’t make me feel stupid, but said call again if I needed.
Destiny (I think that was her name) the vet. assistant was SO nice and calm, and when I didn’t remember what shots my dog was due for, she looked through my dog’s paperwork and found out before the front desk at Banfield was able to call me back about that as I’d called and asked them earlier that morning.
I actually drive 15-20 minutes here–it’s worth it in my book.
(As an aside, this clinic’s rooms has kid tables and chalk walls and coloring stuff for kids who accompany their pets. Their waiting room also has some munchies, so that’s nice, but we had no wait. Altogether does put people at ease; love the personal touches!)
