Receptionist

Compensation: Based on experience

Schedule: Office hours are Monday-Friday 8am-7pm and Saturdays 8am-3pm. Shifts vary within these hours. Alternating Saturdays required.


Job Description

Responsibilities:
– Greet and welcome clients and their pets to the clinic
– Provide excellent customer service
– Be attentive to client and pet needs
– Answer & triage phone calls and schedule appointments/procedures
– Assist with check-in and check-out procedures for patients
– Maintain accurate records of client information and patient medical history
– Collect payments for services rendered
– Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic, including but not limited to: Reception, Lobby, Exam Rooms, Restrooms, Common Areas, etc.

Requirements:
– Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or similar animal care setting is preferred
– High school diploma or equivalent
– 1+ year of customer service experience is required
– Knowledge of basic animal care
– High attention to detail and organization
– Must have a friendly demeanor and conduct themselves in a professional manner
– Excellent communication and customer service skills
– Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
– Proficiency in computer systems and software used for scheduling appointments and maintaining records

Veterinary Assistant/Technician

Compensation: Based on experience

Job Description

Responsibilities:
– Assist veterinarians in providing medical care to pets
– Gentle and compassionate care for animals
– Check in clients, take medical history, obtain patient vitals
– Perform animal restraint during examinations and procedures
– Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by veterinarians
– Conduct pet grooming, including bathing, brushing, and nail trimming
– Set up and execute radiographs
– Collect and process laboratory samples for testing
– Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic
– Use aseptic technique to prepare surgical instruments and equipment
– Assist/monitor surgical procedures under the supervision of veterinarians
– Provide client education as directed by veterinarians
– Assist with phone calls and administrative workflow
– Utilize veterinary terminology to communicate effectively with team members and clients
– Other duties as assigned

Requirements:
– Certification or degree in veterinary technology or equivalent preferred
– High school diploma or equivalent
– Experience working as a veterinary technician preferred
– Knowledge of animal behavior and handling techniques
– Familiarity with veterinary medical equipment and procedures
– Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
– Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Compassionate and caring attitude towards animals
– Ability to work well as a team player
– Proficiency in computer systems and software used for scheduling appointments and maintaining records
– Must be capable of being cross-trained for reception/administrative duties that will be expected in the job
