Welcome New Patients!
Our practice is committed to providing you and your pets with safe, gentle, high quality veterinary care. We understand that you, or your pet, may feel anxious about visiting the veterinarian. We are sensitive to your pet’s needs, and it is our goal to make you feel comfortable visiting our practice while providing you with the best care possible.
Your first visit is all about your pet – comfort, happiness, and health.
At your first visit you can expect:
+ The Most Bang for Your Buck!: Within a 30-45 minute appointment your doctors will not only become your pet’s general physician, but also your pet’s surgeon, radiologist, dentist, dermatologist, neurologist, ophthalmologist, ears/nose/throat doctor, and pharmacist. If for whatever reason, you are not satisfied with your visit, we encourage you to speak with our practice manager who is always open to suggestions. All suggestions are discussed at our weekly staff meetings in an effort to provide quality service for all of our clients.
+ Friendly Faces: At our check-in counter our welcoming receptionists will provide you with a few brief forms to fill out. We recommend arriving 15 minutes early. The sooner the paperwork is done, the sooner we can get to know you and your pet!
+ Electronic Records: As well as paper charts, we keep electronic records for your convenience. This makes for speedier check-ins, prescription requests, copy of records, reminders and more!
+ Technician Exams: Our veterinary technicians, similar to your nurse, will prep your pet before examination. This includes a weight check, temperature, and brief history. Afterwards, your technician will inform your doctor of the nature of your pet’s appointment, prepare vaccinations, collect samples for laboratory testing if needed and together they will begin the examination.
+ In-House Pharmacy and Laboratory Testing: Get it all done in one trip! We have most medications your pet would need in our In-House pharmacy and we collect laboratory testing samples in our fully-equipped treatment area and send out for overnight results.
+ Questions Away!: We encourage you to ask questions. Ask about seeing the entire hospital. Honestly, we don’t mind at all.
+ Same Day Appointment Scheduling with Reminder Services: At the end of your appointment, our receptionist can schedule your next appointment. Unable to schedule that day? No problem, our receptionists are pros at reminder services. With our electronic system we can email reminders and mail postcards.
The American Animal Hospital Association recommends visiting your veterinarian annually (every 6 months for geriatric patients) and routine dental cleanings to keep your pet at optimum health.
We understand that you have a busy schedule, so when you’re preparing to visit your veterinarian please remember that your appointments can last between 30 and 90 minutes.
