Dr. Corcoran graduated from Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2005. She is a die-hard K-State fan and loves K-State sports! After graduating, she stayed in Manhattan, Kansas working at a small animal practice there until she and her family moved to Maryland in 2009. Once she moved to Maryland, Dr. Corcoran worked in a small animal practice in Odenton for many years and often did relief work at the Annapolis SPCA performing surgeries on dogs, cats, & rabbits to get them prepared for adoption.
Her special interests include endocrinology, cardiology, and dermatology. Dr. Corcoran believes that preventative medicine is the key to raising a healthy, happy pet, which is why she encourages owners to perform routine bloodwork and other testing in order to diagnose diseases early, when they are easier to treat.  Dr. Corcoran believes that pets are family, and that protecting the human-animal bond requires compassion, empathy, and good communication. She is also interested in raising awareness of the importance of adopting rescue animals.
When she is not helping our furry friends, Dr. Corcoran enjoys reading, hiking, kayaking, playing the violin, watching the Ravens, Orioles, & Capitals and spending time with her family and rescue dog, Rocko.
